Chrome not working since last update either on iPhone or iPad

Since the last update Chrome keeps crashing on both my iPad and iPhone. I get the error "Chrome didn't shut down correctly" and an option to restore pages. It will crash again if I do nothing, try to restore, or open another page. I have managed to log out of my profile quickly to see if thats an issue but its not. I have removed Chrome from both my devices, restarted them, and reinstall Chrome to no avail. It just crashed again. Anyone else having issues with it? I'm posting this via Chrome on my laptop so don't believe it has anything to do with Chrome outside of IOS. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
