Hi Apple are the phone manufacturers and not the carrier. The sim needs to be from the carrier you pay your bill too.
If your iPhone is Carrier locked it will only accept a sim from that provider.
so I’m a little confused at you saying the sim is from Apple. When you bought the phone you would have signed up to a network provider, Apple only supply the device not the connection service
If you buy an iPhone that is intended for use for a specific carrier, it will come with a SIM for that carrier. For example, when nI bought my iPhone 11 Pro from an Apple Store in the Spring, I bought one intended for use with Verizon, my carrier. It came with a Verizon SIM. I didn't actually need that SIM because I already had one from my previous phone but it was included in the box.
Have you checked if device is carrier locked ?

Apple does not send out sim cards.
Your device is carrier locked and only they can remove it.
No points for u! I purchased at The Apple Store in Marlton,NJ. Don’t tell me I didn’t get it from Apple! It was a complimentary sim which had 4 carriers which was supposed to be compatible with my carrier so I could use it to connect. U r not nice, please don’t respond.

You didn't get the phone from Apple.!
As said earlier Apple do not supply SIM cards. What was the name of the store or site you bought it from?

The comment I made was for peter_watt

Hi, you got your phone from an Apple reseller (a store that sells Apple products) so they also gave you a new SIM card. Apple stores would normally NOT provide SIM cards & its only your carrier who will give you a SIM card.
But if your phone is unlocked (not locked with any carrier), technically, any SIM card will work on your iPhone. You can try the new SIM card given to you by the store. Otherwise, just use the SIM card from your carrier.
The phone your trying this sim in maybe network locked, perhaps try a different network sim to see if it will accept any sim or only a sim from the original network provider.
If it works with any sim then the one you have maybe faulty if not then the phone is locked and will require the sim from the original provider.
Many iPhones are network locked.

I do not have any problems with a SIM. Perhaps you meant to reply to someone else?
Do you have a nano-SIM from Boost? If so, bring that SIM and your SE back to Marlton Apple Store and ask them to make it work in your phone. Good luck.
