Monochrome on portrait mode

I’m not able to consistently get monochrome while using portrait mode/stage light mono or High-Key Light Mono. Photos come out in color more often than not.

To start, please let us know more about what's going on. Which version of iOS are you using on your device? This can be found under Settings > General > About.

Got it, thanks so much! Are you able to successfully capture Portrait mode photos with a bokeh effect when using other effects, such as Natural Light or Studio Light?


As the most recent update to iOS 14 is being released today, we can recommend backing up your data, and applying the update at your earliest convenience. The process of updating may resolve unexpected behavior such as this.
