Macbook Pro won't display 60 hz on monitor.

I have a 2019 13 inch macbook pro. I recently bought a monitor that is capable of 4k 60hz. I bought the Digital AV adapter that states it can produce 60 hz, but it will only produce 30 hz on the monitor, any fix?

I would contact the seller and/or manufacturer of that adapter. If that does not resolve the issue, consider using Apple's adapter.
