Logic Pro on new MacBook not picking up guitar

Hi this is driving me mad I just got a new Macbook and have been using my old one with Logic Pro x for a while. I play a guitar through a m audio unit and it won’t pick it up? I can see the signal in the m audio unit but for example there is no signal in the tuner. I’ve copied the settings from the old Mac. It’s picking up the m audio and all the settings in Logic are okay please help as I’m going bananas? Thanks
