School mode in Apple Watch

School mode is not available as of right now. It will be released along with WatchOS 7 (which is tomorrow).

Prediction - It will most likely require you to have family sharing.

The named device is currently being replaced by Apple. Primarily the issue is when schooltime hours are complete each day, the watch will not reconnect to the cell network and remains “disconnected” until it is rebooted. Also...severe battery drainage while in schooltime mode.

Schoolmode is giving us all sorts of issues, primarily it shows as “disconnected” during the set “school time” hours, therefore, you can’t even see it on the “find my phone” app..

secondarily, when “schooltime” hours are over, the watch will not reconnect to the network unless you reboot the watch.

At this point it’s pretty useless
