Return Series 3 to Best Buy or Apple?

My sweet wife gave me Series 3 Apple watch for birthday (she purchased from Best Buy); ...the box has been opened and watch worn for 5 days.

I want to return the Series 3; ... I have ordered a Series 6 with cellular directly from Apple.

Can I return the Series 3 to Apple or should the Series 3 be returned to Best Buy?

return I purchased a series 3 apple watch from the Trafford Centre. I would like to return it and opt for the series 5 instead. I have tried to go to store but they are all closed. Could you please advise how I can do this exchange? Many thanks Junaid [Edited by Moderator]

Return it to best buy as your sales contract is with them.
