Smart Folders in Mail.app Not Working

Hi folks. For some reason my Mail.app isn't reporting any qualified emails in my Smart Folders. They just stopped working.

I have 47 unread "lists" messages. A smart folder that looks in that mailbox and for 'unread', is blank.

How can I fix this? Delete all smart mailboxes and start over? Or delete a rules file?

Any insight appreciated. Cheers

Deleted all of them. Made a new smart mailbox:

Today

Date received is Today

Nothing shows up, and I have three accounts with new unread emails, some of them from less than an hour ago. So the engine is bad or permissions are bad, or this software has lost its marbles.

Is there some kind of reset on this software? It's been horrible. Thunderbird has issues with older email servers.

Cheers
