McAfee remnants How do I get rid of a remnant of McAfee that still resides on my mac. The program has been removed but the Icon still sits in the top tray and it pops up every now and then with a do not leave message.

Malwarebytes I upgraded to Malwarebytes Premium on my Mac and "allowed full disc" access. My hard drive crashed! I had to erase and restore my hard drive. Now I hesitate to even install the upgraded Malwarebytes software in the free version, which also is asking for "full disc access." Is there a conflict between Malwarebytes and Apple? Do I even need Malwarebytes protection?

Besides the excellent user tip that BobTheFisherman posted download and run the free version of Malwarebytes. It was developed by a long time contributor to these forums and a highly respected member of the computer security community. But the tips in the user tip should be a starting point for protecting your Mac.
