No Apple TV on tele

I have Apple TV on my IPad and on my IPhone, I added the app to my Roku streaming stick. BUT, can’t make it work! I have tried everything I can think of. It’s driving me crazy.

Is it possible that my Roku stick is too old? I get Netflix and Amazon Prime. I don’t understand.

HELP!!!

I added the app to my Roku streaming stick.
Is it possible that my Roku stick is too old?

If you can add the Apple TV app, then the device should be supported. Users should only see compatible apps.

The supported Roku all end with a X i.e.; Roku streaming stick 3600X, 3800X.
Mines is a Roku streaming stick 3600RW. Does it mean the same thing?

Roku themselves uses just the numbers for features of various models, so I think the X is like a placeholder for various editions of the same hardware.

BUT, can’t make it work! I have tried everything I can think of.

Exactly what happens when you try to use it? Can you sign in to the app in its app settings?

Did you verify if the Roku firmware/OS software is up-to-date? Apple seems to develop for the latest available version.

Yes, I can sign in to the app.

Okay. That is the important part. Some users have had trouble signing in with their Apple ID account, but it seems you got past that point.

I can get to the home screen. I can see all the movies and shows offered, but I can not stream anything!

Do you get an error message when you try to stream?

I do not know how I would go about updating my Roku streaming stick

Apple TV was supposed to be a feature I get for free for a year due to a purchase of my new IPhone, then $4.99 per month after the year is up.

And Apple TV+ is what you should get. Did you successfully redeem the offer on your iPhone? Does Apple TV+ work there? The Apple TV app has more than Apple TV+ content. That other content is not included in the offer.

i do not know how I would go about updating my Roku streaming stick, it goes in the side of my TV in a USB port. As I have said before, I have no problems with Netflix or Prime/Amazon.
