Apple Watch Series 3 won’t update to WatchOS 7

None of the above solutions helped me. Going on 5 hours of the second try. I agree with Sol5t1c3. Probably be my last update for my series 3 watch.

Same here. It’s so evident that they want to make customers purchase a new watch every os update.

By turning Bluetooth off doesn’t that disconnect watch from phone? So how will phone connect with watch to update it? I am having same problem stuck on veryfing .

I can't get into my watch to shut the bluetooth off...how did you do that? I even reset my watch. All it does is go into set up mode and I cannot get past that. Thanks!

How do you turn off Bluetooth on the watch? I tried this on the phone, but it didn’t help. It’s still stuck on “preparing.”

What if your watch is not WiFi-enabled? Mine is stuck on “preparing” after hours of downloading the update.

In what way does it not play well? It’s worked perfectly with my watch 3

Intensive Battery drain & repeated crashes. Worse with “wake screen with wrist raise” on.

Has anyone updated to watch 7.0.3? Any issues like timeframes of 4 - 5 hours?

I updated and didn’t have any problems this go around. I set it up on its charger. Set the phone down and did other things and it was done when I came back. I doubt it was more than an hour or two.

Don’t forget watch SE. It looks quite useful and has a lot more storage for less $$$
