Lost the ability to receive messages on iPad. Any suggestions?

I would recommend doing the following:
1. Turn off both FaceTime and iMessage on all your devices (assuming you also have an iPhone, another iPad, iPod touch, or Mac).
2. Wait fifteen minutes or so.
3. Turn on iMessage and FaceTime on each device again.
4. If you have an iPhone, tap “Use Apple ID for iMessage/FaceTime” in iMessage/FaceTime settings on the iPhone. Otherwise, skip this step.
5. At this point, everything should work!
