Workout maps gone in iOS 14?

Are workout maps gone in iOS 14? I used to be able to view a map of bike rides, walks, etc. in previous versions of iOS. It was one of my absolute favorite features in the Fitness app!

Please tell me it isn’t so! I would be so disappointed 🥺

Same here.

No Maps from iOS 13 Workouts showing at all, on new iOS 14 workouts, if I'm lucky I'm getting a map with a single pin on the starting point, but no route information. Tried with Outdoor Walk and Cycle.

GPS is working though since thats the only way to measure an Outdoor Cycle.

iPhone 11 Pro and Series 4 cellular watch here. I’ve also noticed my sleep data is very odd. Today for example, it said I only slept 3 hrs last night. I slept more like 7. And then it says I slept for 90 minutes while I was walking around a mall at 2pm. Additionally, the resting heart rate data is reading much higher than normal. Hope this helps resolve quickly. I’m already looking at Polar and Garmin watches as replacement. I’d just like some communication directly from Apple and we haven’t heard anything.

You would think that Apple would be all over this forum.

Apple doesn't use this forum for market research. On rare occasions, if there's a problem, engineers tasked with solving it will reach out to people who've posted here who have the problem. But, you won't see anyone from Apple posting here except for the Community Specialists. They are pretty much restricted to posting replies to messages that have gone unanswered for more than about 12 hours.

So, if you care about the bug, you'll report it to Apple.

Same issue here.

Right after the update (both Watch and iPhone) I couldn't and still can't see a route on the map. For workouts after the update it's just a pin and for older workouts I did on watchOS 6 and iOS 13 there's no map at all.

I re-paired my watch and it solved the issue for a couple of days, not it's back again. Hope it's gonna get fixed as I don't want to wipe my phone and re-install iOS from scratch (I wonder if it helps).

Yes! I had it yesterday and I was really ****** that my health data got damaged or something. But it got fixed overnight (probably finished syncing).

Another thing is that my Move ring got stuck at 445 kcal yesterday night and wouldn't move (Exercise and Stand worked fine). In the morning the Move ring got updated to 502 kcal, lol. This was the actual number of calories I burned, probably.

Mine hasn't synchronized, and even today I have holes in exercise and stand hours. I tried rebooting everything and even reverted to my old watch face (at this point I'm trying everything) but it just feels flaky and unreliable at this point. I already restored the watch from a backup, as it fixed an issue I had had about a year ago, but this time it just didn't. I could restore the phone, but I doubt that would help at this point!

Hi everyone,

This morning I had some free time and did some testing.

I tried both the Nike app and the adidas app, as well as Strava and they all plotted the route correctly without any problems.

Not only that, using RunGap I was able to synchronize on all accounts without problems.

I believe that from tomorrow I will start monitoring my run with these tools even if I am a little sorry because I was very, very comfortable with the Training app.

In the meantime, I can confirm that even with version 14.2 Beta 1 the problem remained.

Can I ask why you think the fix won't come anytime soon? This is the first time I've had such a big issue on an OS update and I admit I'm frustrated and impatient. But surely the fact that fitness - the premiere feature of the new hardware they have just released - isn't working for so many would be prioritized in a fix? Or am I missing something?
