iOS 14 Mirror front camera

IOS 14 includes the new front mirror camera in the settings. However, I’m experiencing the same. It doesn’t have that option in my iPhone 8+ :(

Not every beta or announced feature makes it to the released version.

Not all iOS features are available for all models of iPhone [how else is apple going to make you want to update your phone lol].

I had this question too but the Apple website clearly says:

With iOS 14, you can take a mirrored selfie that captures the shot as you see it in the camera frame. To turn Mirror Front Camera on, go to Settings > Camera, then turn on the setting.

The Mirror Front Camera is available on iPhone XS, iPhone XR, and later.

I'll have to wait till I get a newer phone I'm on iPhone X

My iPhone 7 has the same problem I was very excited for this feature. I don’t know why our phones don’t have it. Hopefully apple will solve the problem.

I'm not clear why one would want to take a picture that's backwards?

I see that ios 14 has an option regarding mirror selfie camera thingy, but that is not here on my iPhone 7 :( unfortunately.

It’s only on iPhone XS and up now. I have the 7 plus and I was able to mirror pics when I had one of the first betas of iOS 14. But it got removed soon cause Apple needs people to upgrade for features.

That was a great feature and I didn’t get why they removed it. I just hope they bring it back soon

That's because you need an iPhone XS or later to have that feature. If it's that important to you, you'll need to buy a new phone.
