Why does my iPhone 6s can’t update its software? It is still in 12.4.8

An iPhone running iOS 12.4.8 can not be a 6S. Instead, it is a 5S, 6, or 6 Plus. Either way the model can not be upgraded further.

How about if my other iPhone took more than 6 hours to upgrade its software to IOS 14? Is it because of the Wifi connection

Possibly a slow connection at your end, or the fact that millions of people would have been trying to download the update at the same time.
