Siri not using bluetooth headset's mic for input

Since updating to iOS 13 Siri became useless on my bike. I push "Home" button to enable Siri, but it waits for input from internal mic instead of using my helmet's bluetooth headset. Audio output is sent to the helmet though.

I noticed the same behaviour with Jabra Freeway and internal bluetooth in my Suzuki Swift. But this is less of an issue in a quiet environment where internal mic can actually hear my voice.

The problem persists after updating to iOS 14.

Has anyone experienced the same issue? Is there some workaround?

Greetings, svintuss.

It appears that when you get Siri's attention by pressing the button on your iPhone 6s, it responds from your iPhone and not through your Bluetooth helmet. You also note that it also doesn't work with the Jabra Freeway Bluetooth speaker in your Suzuki, and we're glad to help with this.

Use Siri on all your Apple devices - Apple Support -- When you press the Home button on your iPhone, Siri expects to use the iPhone microphone and speaker. Instead, try using "Hey Siri" to see if it works through your helmet and Jabra Freeway speaker.

If "Hey Siri" doesn't work with your helmet or Jabra Freeway speaker, please contact the manufacturer to see if Siri is supported and how it works with your products.

Let us know how that goes.

Take care.
