Hi,

I have had this exact same issue. Having just updated to ios14, when I go to open my messages app that is the default one with iphone, it will go to a blank screen for approximately 8 seconds then crash completely. I am unable to view old messages and the only way to send new ones is quickly reply to them when they come in and swipe down on notifications.

I have done a full restore and backup, as well as numerous shutdowns.

This is incredibly frustrating.
