My new iPad Air (3rd generation) is running out of RAM, getting stuck until I "close" apps

The 3 Gb RAM limitation has turned into a BIG disappointment with my NEW iPad Air (3rd generation). I didn't expect this kind of problem from an Apple product.

I wish Apple would post the amount of RAM in the new iPad Air 4. If it's not at least 4 Gb of RAM, I will be telling my friends to avoid it. I wish they'd let me trade this in when the new MacBooks come out, but it seems they only let you trade-in iPads for newer iPads, MacBooks for newer MacBooks. Please change this policy, Apple!

iPadOS 14 may have been my cure. The new iPad Air (3rd generation) feels faster. Not sure if its more efficient code or better memory management, but it's definitely had a positive result for me.

I knew I wasn't addressing Apple, thank you. Everything addressed here could be handled by Apple Support. It's logical that Apple created this Discussion section so users could unburden Apple Support by supporting each other. I paid for Apple Support but I choose to reserve it for only urgent unsolved problems.

I voiced my experience and expectations for others to comment on. And already, I've received a correction from StanleyG on trade-ins. I appreciate his input and link. It was constructive and helpful.

Okay, good! Thanks for the correction. When you press 'Buy' to order a new MacBook it's only offered me values for older MacBooks.

Wait, hold on.

That last statement isn’t right. Apple allows you to trade-in items for credit towards any new purchase. Heck they even allow you to turn it into a Apple Gift Card. More info at the FAQ of this link - https://www.apple.com/shop/trade-in
