Battery widget not showing iPad on phone, and not showing phone/watch on ipad (iOS14)

So since the 14 update, and it's little battery percentage doohicky I thought that it would communicate between all devices, maybe I was wrong?

My 2018 iPad Pro only shows itself and pencil battery levels, and my iPhone 8 plus only shows the phone and watch, they don't communicate at all.

I read that connecting via BT would help and so when trying that between the iPad and iPhone, I get that it's Unsupported.

So far I've turned both off and on again, I've turned BT off and on again, and I've gone into and out of airplane mode.

What's that about?

iPad Pro, iPadOS 14

I was wondering the same thing. It has 2 other “open” spaces to show battery percentage. I would think the iPad & Apple Pencil would also show up there. At least the iPad.
