How can you tell if your iPhone is jailbroken?

I just updated my iphone 11 to ios14 last nite. I tried to open my barclays credit card app and it flashed a message saying my phone was jail broken and I will compromise the data if I open this app on my phone and to use a different source. Anyone else experienced this. How can you tell that your phone is jailbroken? My phone has always been with me.

For a phone to be jailbroken it must be in the possession of someone who knows how to do it while it is unlocked. They will need 15-30 minutes. There’s no easy way to tell; If there is an app called “Cydia” on it then it has been jailbroken, but absence of Cydia does not mean that it is not jailbroken, as the app can be deleted.

As an interesting bit of research look up what “cydia” means.

Did you participate in the beta? To check go to Settings/General/Profiles. Is there an iOS 14 beta profile there? If not you don’t have a beta version. And if you were a registered beta participant, as either a developer, an invited seed or a public beta you aren’t on 14.0, but have a later version.

If you want to remove the beta just delete that profile, restart and and restore your phone. That will put 14.0.1 on it.
