search field in notes missing

I can't seem to find the search field/window that appears at the top of the notes list. Only way to search notes currently is command F. But I would like to search all notes at once rather than one at a time. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

'Control-Click' on the application window toolbar, to open 'Customise Toolbar…'

Click on 'Customise Toolbar…' for the drop down menu of toolbar options.

As below drag the Search item to the application window toolbar.

Or, drag the default set to the application window toolbar:

Click on 'Done' when finished.

You will now be able to use the keyboard combination 'Option - Command - F' to search all notes.
