Exactly how old is your New Mac? Many people call their "New" Mac a used machine they picked up or something that is 8 months old or even differently so please try to be a bit more specific. Also, please read the Terms & Conditions of AppleCare (note corrected spelling) and you may find that you waited too long. If it is within the time period the AppleCare can be purchased per the Terms & Conditions, then simply call AppleCare (800-275-2273 in the USA) and ask them and they will be happy to assist.
