iPod Touch 7th Generation Music Controls and Effects?

Hi All,

My trusty and MUCH loved iPod Nano 7th Generation has failed, and has been replaced by a new iPod Touch 7th Generation (2019).

Apart from the well-noted massive differences in these devices, I'm really looking to find on the new Touch 7th Gen the following for playing MUSIC:

Buttons to skip to next track (and to return to start of current track)

Get Crossfade Working**

** In iTunes Preferences, I have Crossfade set to 12 seconds, and it always worked fine on the ipod nano 7. It is NOT working on the new Touch 7. Can anyone help with this, as it's something I really like and would be extremely disappointed to lose.

As for those SKIP/RETURN buttons, where the heck are they??

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. Congratulations on your new iPod touch. We know how important it is to be able to control your music.

To learn how to move between tracks, as well as return to the start of the current track, check out the information under "Control Music" from this article: Listen to music and more in the Apple Music app.

To made adjustments to the settings, you would find these by going to Settings > Music. There is no an option for crossfading on the iOS devices. This article will show the way you can change how the music sounds on your iPod touch: Change the way music sounds on iPod touch. You can indeed still use crossfading when listening to music on a computer.
