I need to install a new MacOS High Sierra

I have MacBook Pro (Mid 2010), previous it has MacOS Sierra.....and I formatted internal hard drive.....so how do I install from usb drive....cause i tried to make my niece 16gb usb drive as a bootable device with MacOS High Sierra but my MacBook Pro does not boot from it

How did you make the bootable USB installer.


You need the Install macOS High Sierra.app, a good quality USB stick (16GBs)

and read the instructions here,

How to create a bootable installer for macOS – Apple Support


When you have created the bootable USB stick plug it in to your mac.

Restart the mac while pressing and holding the option/ alt key.

After a couple of minutes you will see the Startup Manager, select the

USB and press Return.

The mac will restart to the USB, you will see a Utilities panel click on

Install OS and press Continue.

The installation process should start, follow the prompts.
