iMac waking up in the middle of the night

Lately, if I happen to get up in the middle of the night, I find the iMac waking itself with the blue screen even though I am not connected to the internet. In fact, most of the time now, I turn off the wifi when I close up for the night to prevent it from connecting. So, the iMac itself is initiating. Why? Am I infected?

Make sure "Power Nap" is not enabled in "Energy Saver" system preference.

Thank you all for your suggestions. After I submitted this question, I asked on the web and someone suggested that my iMac maybe be trying to respond to bluetooth devices nearby. I have both an iPhone and a wireless HP Printer. So, I went into Power Saver and un-checked everything except "Put hard disks to sleep when possible" and I have checked only "Require password 4 hours after sleep or screen saver begins." I have also changed the Automatic Updates to simply checking for them rather than downloading them.
