Apple Watch Lost Activity Data

I have been on a great streak on closing all my rings. Yesterday marked my 145th day. Unfortunately, yesterday after my phone updated to the new IOS, my watch stopped syncing my activity. I was not aware of this until the end of the day. Through the day I monitored my rings and they were all closed by 9pm but I noticed I wasn’t receiving text message notifications. I then checked my activity on my phone and nothing was registered.

I was told to unpair my watch to create a backup. Everything backed up except for one day, ending my move streak.

Is there any way to retrieve or add the data for that day? I do not want to start all over.

I had a similar issue. After updating my Apple Watch to watchOS 7 and my iPhone to iOS 14 last Friday, I went out for a walk on Sunday, recording the walk on my watch. When I checked the Activity app on my phone, there was no workout recorded. I then went out for a run yesterday morning, again recording the workout on the watch, which I then sync with Strava. I’ve been doing this for years with no issues yet on synching this time, there was no location data recorded so I couldn’t see my route map and it only recorded a partial distance. I went out for another walk last night, again recording it on my watch but no workout was recorded in the Activity app. The funny thing is, for both walks it looks like the steps and distance were recorded, it just didn’t record the workout event, and for the run the watch recorded the full distance, but no location info and only synched part of it to Strava.
