I'm trying to download a 6GB video file from Dropbox to my Mac (uploaded to DB via PC). My Mac is saving the .MOV file with a .download extension. (DSCF0016.MOV.download) How can I stop it doing this? Or...what am I supposed to do so I can now edit / play this video?
I'm only doing it this way because downloading straight from my camera onto my Mac stops after 2.5GB so I'm having to think of other ways around this. It's a royal pain in the a..!

What size is the downloaded file on the Mac?
Have you tried importing the video directly from the camera using the Photos app on your Mac?
How are you importing it, if not using Photos?
Oh wow! It's taking forever then! I thought this white bar meant it was finished? Or does it fill up with another colour when finished?
I tried again and then left it for a long time. When I clicked to play, it said that the resource was unavailable :-(
I've just gone back into photos and they are not showing up in my Imports folder at all! Or my videos folder. They were both c. 6.4GB.
If that's the default app that opens when I plug my camera in, then yes. It downloads it and shows the correct video file size but when I play it it stops at 2mins50. Same for the other long video I tried to download. Surely it's got to be quicker than this! I've got 64GB of RAM and a 3.8Ghz processor. And these files aren't even 4K video!
Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
