Cannot show date in Apple Watch OS7

I got my date back on my watch face by reinstalling the standard calendar app on my phone.

THANK YOU!!! I’m actually on vacation and didn’t notice the date had disappeared until I decided that I needed to know what day it was lol of course I updated the watch the night before I left home 😂

It’s working for me now. Had to update both phone and watch to current version. Then download standard calendar from App Store. It should then show the calendar on the watch apps when setting your watch face.

The calendar that came on my phone was google! It does not work on the Apple Watch! To bad Apple did the update that took away the date! My watch is worthless to me! And you get no response from Apple to help

I found this frustrating as well. I find the program both lacks the options. For those who are looking for a good alternative to integrate you I-Phone and your Windows system take a look at One Calendar.

It’s not the google calendar but the Apple calendar you need to install.

Thank you 'pamwar' - that was the solution - adding calendar back fixed the issue. I just hid all the calendars and put it into my folder somewhere on the phone.

Thank you so much! This fixed it. When I went to the App Store, I was surprised to see calendar no longer installed on my phone. Reinstalled it and it showed back up instantly!

Do you mean for Apple calendar? I use google. I reinstalled the Apple calendar, but it’s still not showing. Is there a setting I’m missing?

You have to go back to the watch face modular settings and the option to turn “date” back on should be there now after reinstalling.
