Is Catalina a stable OS?
I am considering updating to Catalina OS from High Sierra. Is it a solid OS or is it buggy and unstable?

my last iMac only went as far as high sierra. my 2019 (purchased in april 2020) came with catalina. imho, some stuff is better, some worse, some no real difference. i'm still getting used to the differences. that said, it seems stable on my iMac.
Solid on my 2017 MBP
Re: “... 32 bit applications are no longer supported in Catalina ... “
A great point I’d not considered. 👍
It is only buggy and unstable if you are using apps that are
generally not compatible. have antivirus app installed, cleaner
apps installed, etc,
One very, very important thing to note since you are moving from
High Sierra, 32 bit applications are no longer supported in Catalina.
You will need to check that your mission critical apps are 64 bit or
the vendors have updates or upgrades available.
It's stable on my 5 Macs.
