My Mac died this week and until I receive the new one I ordered I need to print something. How do I hook the printer to my iPhone?

You cannot connect a printer to an iOS based device by a cable, like you can to a computer. The printer you own needs to be AirPrint capable or have an App which can be downloaded from the App Store. It must be a Wifi printer, connected to the same network your iPhone is connected to.
