Apple watch cellular compatibility

I would like to but Apple watch 6 series with cellular for my parents, does an Apple Watch 6 series cellular bought in the US work in India ? Could you please confirm if that works?

No.

There is the Canada, U.S., Mexico, Puerto Rico model

There is the "Rest of the World" model.

A U.S. model will not connect to cellular networks in India.

If you get an Apple Watch from the U.S. it will ONLY work like it is a GPS model, and require the iPhone to be kept nearby.
