According to this article on AppleInsider back tap works on iPhone 8 and newer. I have an iPhone 8 and the back tap option is there and works.
Settings->Accessibility->Touch->Back Tap->select Double or Triple Tap

I don't believe that is correct. From a few google searches within the last couple days, the following phones are listed as compatible:

To the OP. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Back Tap
Choose options for double tap or triple tap.
No worries. New features aren't always that simple to find.
Personally, I'm loving Back Tap. I hate how you have to take screenshots normally. With Back Tap, I can now triple tap my phone back and voila, a screenshot!
I couldn't find any Apple Article on this.
It's a feature not available on an X.
You are correct and I was in error. For some reason I confused it with the mirroring camera.
I found it under Accessibility.
