SUMIFS

I am trying to write a spreed sheet to work out my monthly pay from the hours I work.

In Pay Dates and Value Table I want to display in D3 the amount of money I have earned from Hourly Wage Table between the dates set out in Pay Dates and Value Table A3 and B3. I am trying to use the forumla I have tried to use the formula " SUMIFS (SHIFTS::PAY, SHIFTS::Date > A3, SHIFTS:: Date < B3) " But just comes back saying all arguments need be the same size. I have also tried the formula above with a syntax error.

What am I not seeing or why can I not get the to work?

Turn off 'Use header names as labels in Numbers > Preferences > General and your formula should look something like this:

=SUMIFS(Shifts::G,Shifts::A,">="&A2,Shifts::A,"<="&B2)

Note how you need to put "" around the >= and <=. Also make sure your dates are true Date & Time, which are right aligned by default. (You can tell by clicking on one and looking lower left to make sure it says Actual and not Text).
