Macpro is frozen. Force Quit of program not working after command option

Macpro is frozen. Force Quit of program not working after command option esc. Cursor moves but non-functioning. Ideas?

MacBook Pro 13″, OS X 10.10

Thanks. Brand new macbook pro. I literally did not realize that the button I use for fingerprint ID was the on/off button and could actually be depressed as opposed to only gently laying a finger on it. Duh! Thanks for your reply.

Press and hold the power button (or the touch-ID sensor on certain models with no physical power button) for a quarter minute to force an uncontrolled power down.
