IOS 14 Text message problems

It appears if you have an e-sim the option to forward SMS has gone as in this post https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251812933

this seems to be the case for me.

iPad was setup before iOS 14 and still seems to be working however I can't seem to get it to work on my MacBook because there's no forwarding option anymore.

In addition to my post above, I Just noticed that my cell phone number disappeared from my Face Time app on my iPad Under the Headings of You Can Be Reached By Face Time At, as well as Caller ID.

Both of these sections only state my personal email address and my iCloud address.

PLEASE CREATE THE UPDATE TO FIX THIS ISSUE

Make sure you have it turned on in the settings. It may have gotten turned off, GoTo Settings>Messages>Text Message Forwarding On your Phone and make sure that your iPad is turned on

You can only do that if you also have an iPhone using the same Apple ID.

After updating to iOS14 I don’t have the text message forwarding option under my Message settings anymore. Anyone else?

Same here. The option is gone altogether from the Messages sub-menu!

Same thing on mine. So tired of these updates. I feel like I am dealing with Microsoft now.

Same. Don’t have that option. Luckily it works correctly on my phone. The function is there on the phone so it is forwarded properly to the pad but the option not there for reverse action.

Same here. Started yesterday. The option is totally gone from the iMessages sub-menu PLEASE PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP

The option has disappeared from Messages sub-menu on iPhone and on iPad too. So messages are not being shared from iPhone to iPad and vice versa Very frustrating
