Not able to update or download any apps on App Store

Receiving the message "We could not complete your purchase" on trying to install any app. Also not able to update apps. MacBook Pro 13-inch, 2017, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports, macOS Mojave version 10.14.1


Have tried restarting, signing out and signing in and changed the default payment options as well.

Try a different wifi network; office, library, coffeeshop.
