Apple Watch sleep mode, wake up before alarm

How do you exit sleep mode if you wake up early? Turning the crown gets you into the watch, but as soon as you lower your arm and the watch screen goes dark it’s back to the sleep mode. I had to reset alarm schedule in the sleep app to exit.

Also, the little blue bed above the watch face is not clickable like the green workout guy is. Have to go to app screen and find the sleep app.

I had the same question and found this on another search, may be the answer: Tip: To exit sleep mode, first turn the Digital Crown to unlock. Then swipe up to open Control Center and tap .

It’s really quite extraordinary that the Apple Watch doesn’t cater for waking up early - at least without carrying out an action that erases the previous night’s sleep data!

Because, like so many users point out here, it’s 50/50 whether or not the Apple Watch will predict you’ve awoken early - and present you with an interface option to turn of the alarm

I’ve only just got my first Apple Watch, and for days this has been driving me nuts. I thought there would be an easy - and blindingly obvious - solution, but no!

I *love* my Apple Watch otherwise - so there’s little chance I’ll be reverting back to my PIP Boy 😉 But *boy* this is such an obvious issue that needs to be resolved
