I upgraded from an iPhone 6 to an SE2020 that I purchased from Apple and it's on Verizon's network. It seems that I can only make & receive call, text and use data if I'm on wi-fi. I can't use it anywhere else. Anyone else having this issue??

When you set up the new phone, did you also transfer the SIM card from your old phone to the new one? You cannot access the Verizon network without this.
franzkaiser, thanks for your reply. The new phone came with a Verizon SIM card pre-installed from Apple. The set up was wireless/seamless to do between the old phone and the new one. My son has tried swapping out the SIM cards and said he saw no difference when he installed the card from his iPhone 6.
