Monitor

i have a imac 2009, to use as monitor for an mac air: from Mini DisplayPort to Thunderbolt. But i can not find a single connecting cable? always need two connecting cables? if so, please advice on type or number. thx.

That looks like a Mid 2007 or Early 2008 iMac and it does not support Target Display Mode.

Sorry, but Target Display Mode only works with Late 2009 thru 2010 27" iMac's and 2011 thru Mid 2014 iMac's.
