Does anyone know the fix?
iPhone 7, iOS 14
My calendar was OK, but my clock widget was 'stuck' on a prior time, the 2nd hand wasn't updating, etc. (Note, this might be related to having put the phone in airplane mode earlier in the day). I tried several things, but what seems to work consistently (this has happened before) is to go into settings->general->Date & Time, then toggle the 24-Hour Time switch. The clock widget immediately reset and the second hand started sweeping again.

To be more precise - I have new iOS 14 widget Calendar on my home page. It shows the previous day, i.e. not current calendar event and when tapping on it, does not even open Calendar app. The same goes for Weather - I have new Weather widget and it is showing old weather. All this when I am on WiFi and charger, without Power saving mode on.
I have restarted iPhone and checked that Background updates are allowed for the apps (they were).
At the moment, the issue does not manifest any more.
Also the Clock Widget seems to freeze every now and then, i.e. none the hands are moving. Removing and reinstalling the widget solves the problem for a while but then it stucks again.

Notes suck on previous day? It is not clear.
It would be better if you can please re-post with a screenshot, in order to understand the phenomenon better. Images / pictures speak louder than words. (Do not provide any personal credentials, such as email id, apple id, IMEI number, Serial Number, Phone number, Order ID, if you are sharing a map ensure your location is not identifiable. etc)
I am having the same issue. I have a widget up for apple news, a clock widget (this one is most obvious- it’s not even painting the hour/minute hands right now), a weather.com widget (stuck showing me weather of next 6 hours starting 5pm day before yesterday) and podcasts app (I have been in the app to select different podcasts since the widget stopped refreshing).
I have my suspicions - I have an iPhone 6s and on my 2nd battery - a couple of weeks ago it couldn’t keep up, the whole phone reset and it’s in “performance management”. (That’s not the user selectable power save mode, but an option deeper in the OS).
BTW, I have an iPhone XR, so your 6s might not be the culprit at all
Toggling that switch works for me but not for long
It worked! Thanks!
Turn on/off 24-hour time switch.
Toggling the 24-hour time switch seemed to solve the problem but after a couple of days the clock widget is frozen again.
