Files

I have a bunch of files on my Mac called "NIKON D300 (Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f3.5-5.6G VR II) - RAW.lcp" or "SONY (TAMRON SP 200-500mm F5-6.3 Di A08S) - RAW.lcp"

Can I delete these or what do they do?

Deleting VTS_01.VOB files I am trying to clean up my computer. Transferred my old time machine files to my new Mac Studio. Looking at my large files, I have several VTS_01.VOB files, looks like when I created lots of DVD videos with iDVD. Does anyone know if it's safe to delete all these files, considering iDVD no longer exists? Will I be able to still open my videos? I wasn't sure what these files are. They are rather large, 1 GB each. If responses can be "non-technical", that would be great since I know just basic info. :)

Files on External Drive Hello, I have an external drive that I periodically attach to my MacBook Pro (running Big Sur) which is used exclusively for backing up photos. It has been formatted as ExFat since I also have a Win 10 laptop and would like the option of sharing should there be a need. My question is regarding files saved to this drive, specifically ones with a ._ prefix. I understand these are created by the Mac and store Extended Attributes (EA) in turn Finder hides these files, which helps significantly . However, when attached to a Windows laptop they are fully visible in addition to the original file. As a example on Windows I would see FILEABC also ._FILEABC in the same folder. I simple wanted to ask should I leave these files alone (which is ok) at the risk of causing problems for the Mac or the original file? Or can these ._ files safely be removed without consequence, which would only be for a "cleaner look" and maybe to free up space? Thanks for any thoughts.

MacBook Pro 15", Monterey v.12.6 - I was searching for .dmg files to delete I was hunting all the .dmg files to delete, and I show 20 "BaseSystem.dmg.x86.trustcache.jxxx...(more numbers).im4m" files in Aug, and 1 more in the last 30 days. None before August, and none since except for a document "about" theses very files. It says not to mess with them. Nothing to worry about?

Those are Adobe Lens Correction Profiles - for correcting lens distortion, vignetting and chromatic aberration...
