What exact Mac is this?

What macOS are you currently running?

Internal or external DVD superdrive?

Using a hub or docking station?

Using Apple branded cables?

In addition to the above...

Try a different optical-media recording drive.

Try different brand and type of optical-recording media.

If you’re using an external Apple SuperDrive, make sure it’s flat, and shiny-side up.

Try a lower recording speed.
