Moving photos/documents to iCloud

Hi,

I have quite a lot of photos/videos/documents on my Dropbox. I’m paying for 1TB iCloud storage so I’d like to move everything from Dropbox to my iCloud. My only issue is when saving from my dropbox to my Mac, it’s also saving them locally and I’m now running out of room on my Mac.

how do I deal with this?!

This is how iCloud works. It is a syncing service, not off device storage like Dropbox.

Content will be present on your Mac and iCloud to some degree..
