Hello, thank you for your response.

To answer your questions. Yes I did change my sim card, phone number, & carrier. But that was for about an hour only. Then I inserted my old sim card which I have been using with my iphone.

It always says, “waiting for activation” and when I restart my phone it says, “Activation Unsuccessful”.

I have tried the steps on the link that you have provided. But still my phone number is not still activated. It’s been a week now.

Hello Hawnuhhhh,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand having issues activating iMessage, and FaceTime after changing your SIM card, and we'd like to help.

Just to clarify, did you change your SIM card, and change your phone number as well? Did you switch carriers? What is the exact error message you're getting when you try to use/activate iMessage, and FaceTime on your device?

Please check out this helpful link:

If you get an error when trying to activate iMessage or FaceTime

We hope this information is useful. Kind regards.

Hi Hawnuhhhh,

Thanks for getting back to us with those additional details. We understand that you're still having issues activating iMessage, and FaceTime on your device. iMessage, and FaceTime are incredibly important when it comes to staying in contact with friends, and we want to help out.

So we understand correctly, are you unable to send SMS text messages (green text bubbles)? Are you able to send and receive international SMS messages? This is necessary to use your phone number with iMessage and FaceTime. If you’re not sure, we’d recommend contacting your carrier.

Next, let's check if your carrier support these features:

Also, under Settings > General > Date & Time, is your time zone set correctly?
