Hello, thank you for your response.
To answer your questions. Yes I did change my sim card, phone number, & carrier. But that was for about an hour only. Then I inserted my old sim card which I have been using with my iphone.
It always says, “waiting for activation” and when I restart my phone it says, “Activation Unsuccessful”.
I have tried the steps on the link that you have provided. But still my phone number is not still activated. It’s been a week now.
Hello! Thank you so much for all your responses! You’re all amazing.
I can still send SMS. I Can still even use Imessage and Facetime using my icloud account. But I want to activate it using my Phone number.
I am from the Philippines. And yes, my time zone is set correctly.
Hello,
Done as well. It keeps saying “Waiting for activation” . Then whenever I’ll turn off or restart my phone it will prompt that the Activation sa Unsuccessful. I also tried waiting for 24hours, kept my phone On at all times as well as my cellular data On, but nothing happened
Hello Hawnuhhhh,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand having issues activating iMessage, and FaceTime after changing your SIM card, and we'd like to help.
Just to clarify, did you change your SIM card, and change your phone number as well? Did you switch carriers? What is the exact error message you're getting when you try to use/activate iMessage, and FaceTime on your device?
Please check out this helpful link:
If you get an error when trying to activate iMessage or FaceTime
We hope this information is useful. Kind regards.
Hi Hawnuhhhh,
Thanks for getting back to us with those additional details. We understand that you're still having issues activating iMessage, and FaceTime on your device. iMessage, and FaceTime are incredibly important when it comes to staying in contact with friends, and we want to help out.
So we understand correctly, are you unable to send SMS text messages (green text bubbles)? Are you able to send and receive international SMS messages? This is necessary to use your phone number with iMessage and FaceTime. If you’re not sure, we’d recommend contacting your carrier.
Next, let's check if your carrier support these features:
Wireless carrier support and features for iPhone in the United States and Canada
Also, under Settings > General > Date & Time, is your time zone set correctly?
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Have a nice day.
Hi Hawnuhhhh, if you go to your Apple ID and select name phone numbers and email, you should be able to add it. Also try going to iMessage and FaceTime settings and select send and receive or select reachable at. I hope this helps.
Sincerely, DaCatmaster.
