hello, i have an early 2011 macbook pro. i cannot seem to get 1080p60 youtube playback to work without getting choppy and the fan revving up to max speed. i think it has to do with the thermal paste, but im not sure. ive already upgraded to a 250 gb samsung evo 860 ssd and 8gb of ram. i think it should playback no problem, yet it dosent. please help me with my problem.

Also you can keep an eye on Activity monitor to check what app are spiking up the CPU / RAM, which can help you to troubleshoot.
I would also suggest you to check with different web browser and in safe mode if you have same issues.

hello, I was using chrome on my MacBook, so thats the reason it wasn't playing well. I am now using safari and its working way better, being able to play full 1080p60 at around 78c. thank you!
