Apple Watch and photos

I’m trying to update to iOS 7.0 but can’t get enough space on my Apple Watch 3. It’s saying I have 12 photos on my watch, but I have no albums synced with the watch and when you open the photos app on the watch there’s nothing there. The 12 photos are taking up space keeping me from updating my watch. How do I delete those photos?
