My MacBook Pro is charging fine when it is on, but when it is asleep or turned off, the light indicator starts to blink orange and green alternately. Why is it so? How do I solve this?
I am done with reset of SMC. Worked a bit then it was back to same issue after some minutes.

Try the SMC reset again

The lights on the charge are informed by the computer side of the equation.
