With the update I can no longer set my alarm clock times to vibrate only. If I select a vibration but no tone, it will only go off silently, making it useless. I am trying to get up without waking a baby, so no tone is necessary. How do I set it for vibrate only now?

I don't get the vibration for my alarms either, only tones. It's setup properly and I've already "Reset All Settings." I'm iOS 14.0, iPhone XR.
Also, it doesn't work on my wife's iPhone XR with iOS 14, who's also "Reset All Settings" after the iOS 14 update.
After almost every update there is an app that is “improved”. Yet there was nothing really wrong or that it needed improvement! The iOS 14 update totally ruined the simplicity of the wake up alarm app. No longer intuitive. The longer I own and use Apple products the more it feels like windows. “If it ain’t broke, don’t mess with it”.
We used to have a saying in aircraft maintenance, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!". There was nothing wrong with the old alarm app, and the newer version IS NOT an intuitive improvement. Just coders and programmers justifying their jobs with "improvements". AppleSoft and MicroApple are converging to become one Super Megabloat software.
In response to AZpatriot123, Helpless32, and others, Totally Agree! Instead of fooling around to "improve" (things NOT broken), try fixing all the stuff that we KNOW have glitches!! And there are lots.
STOP IGNORING THE "small" PROBLEMS just to fiddle with things that ain't broke!
I'm also thinking of not wasting my (still) Good $$ on Apple mistakes anymore. I'm planning my next phone to be NOT Apple! - Unless programmers stop making useless, WORSE, "improvements"

So with the latest upgrade of 14.2, I thought MAYBE Apple would have incorporated fixes for their Alarm App. With all the complaints they usually amend their mistakes for botched releases. No so friends, the Wake up/Alarm features are still causing average users a headache. So Apple users, here's the real "peach". I deleted the alarm app and the icon was gone, but the app still lives with a swipe to the right on your home screen. Let's keep voicing this crappy s/w app, the squeaky wheel does get the grease!
For everyone who is trying this ^^ and thinks it is not working, follow the steps exactly as he's done here. I got mine to work. Something about the order in which you do all this and the exact steps. I had lost hope but this actually works :-) Thank you!
Update on how crappy the app STILL is. I deleted the icon (thinking it was the program) but it still went off this morning at 5:30 (when I didn't need it too). So now I'm muting the phone at bedside. Perhaps I could fix it with my 16 oz ball peen hammer?
All my alarms were set not to have a ringer and only vibrate. None of the alarms actually vibrate, but only show a notice in the screen. How is that helpful? I cannot seem to fix it. Even deleting and setting a new alarm doesn’t fix the issue. What kind of feature is this. I am new to the iphone and second guessing my choice to use an iPhone.

No RingTone but Vibration On
I am doing all of this, but when the alarm goes off it does not vibrate. It is a totally silent alarm.
