How to get Siri to play music on Spotify

Hello everyone,

I am trying to get Siri to play music on Spotify with a single command and I believe that I am just at the edge of getting her to do that, using Shortcuts.

Right now, I can tell Siri to "Play some Music" which opens a Shortcut that opens the URL of my Playlist on Spotify.

After that, I can tell her to "Shuffle Play" which opens up the Media Bar on top, and if I tell her "Next" - my music starts playing without any problems. Of course, this is a lot of hassle just to have my Playlist on Spotify opened up and get the music playing, but now I wonder if there is a way to create a Shortcut to have these messages automated, so that like all these commands are given in a sequence, and therefore have her do this whole sequence with one Shortcut command.

I would be awesome to read any suggestions on how we may achieve this, or if it is possible at all. I tried to use the Variables Shortcut, but I can't seem to find a way to give her specific commands from within the Shortcuts' options.

Being able to find a way to do this, would in my opinion help us find other useful things to do with Siri, even if it is a tedious process.

Have a nice day and hope we get to the bottom of this!

Kind Regards,

Ivan Ivanov
