How do I get rid of the home screen dots on ios14? They are taking up valuable Home Screen real estate

You have not lost a row of Apps.
iOS 14 still shows the same 6 rows of apps as iOS 13 did.
There have never been 7 rows of apps.
The dot bar has also always been there. Its now a but larger so you can tap and hold on it to quickly navigate between homescreens.
You don’t. Those indicate how many pages you have.
Yes, the icons were resized to accommodate the new slightly larger dot row. They are bit smaller now than they used to be.
However, they are still in the same centered locations they used to, just a tad bit smaller. There's no reason you can't reach, since the distance has not changed horizontally at all.
I know what they do, but I’ve lost a row of apps. I don’t want to see it. I know what page I’m on.
If you have apps that you want on your Home Screen, you should be able to move them there. How did you lose them? How many apps do you have now on the Home Screen?
The resized icons now don’t let any female or person with small jeans reach the top right app with their thumb while holding the phone in one hand. This is the worst change ever.
Agree, the update has really made me angry !
Then the app icons must be smaller. The gap between the bottom row and the bottom of the phone wheee the dots are has definitely got larger. Using the phone one handed I now can’t reach the far right app with my thumb.
Because the dots now let you quickly navigate between home screens, and a slightly larger dot area makes it easier to hold and drag across the dots.
Its not like the icons are now tiny and unusable either.
Why would anyone want bigger dots and smaller icons??
